For more detailed instructions: There are two ways of approaching The Old Dairy. Golden Highway Turn off the Golden Highway onto Bylong Valley Way, which is situated 1km out of Sandy Hollow on the Denman side (not the Merriwa side). Travel along this road for approximately 12km and turn right onto Mount Dangar Rd (Mt Dangar Rd is a loop road and we advise you to take the 2nd entrance) Look out for the blue cottage 1km on the left hand side. |
Bylong/Rylstone Rd This road has an unsealed stretch of at least 40km and you would be advised to travel carefully and preferably during the day. But it is a stunning drive and well worth the effort! Once you are back on sealed road, follow signs to Muswellbrook etc. The road follows the Goulburn River for 20 to 30 minutes, which is on your left at all times. You will pass historic Kerrabee Homestead on your right and the turnoff to picturesque Widden Valley. Once you have driven through the tiny locality of Baerami, take the first turn on the left, onto Mt Dangar Rd. |
